Reminders From Nurse Debra: When to keep your child home from school
Please do not send your child to school if he/she has:
a. Unexplained rash or spots b. A fever ( 100.0 or higher ) within the last 24 hours (please do not treat with medication and send them to school) c. Has vomited twice or more in 24 hours d. Diarrhea e. Head lice
If your child comes to school with these symptoms, he/she will not be allowed to stay at school. Parents will be notified if the child develops symptoms of illness during the school day. If your child is sent home with a fever, vomiting, or diarrhea, he/she will need to stay home at least 24 hours. |
