PARENT VOLUNTEER SECTION

This section is for District 90 Parent Volunteers that help in media centers at all buildings. There will be a FAQ page that is frequently updated so that all media center volunteers can feel more comfortable in helping students find and check out materials and to properly shelve materials.

Media Services

District 90 media centers contain a collection of books and other resources, print and non-print for students, teachers, and staff to use and enjoy. Materials are checked out to K-5 students for a one-week period; older students have a three week loan period. If material is not returned when due, students will not be able to check out any additional items. Notices of overdue material will be sent home to the parents. If a student loses an item or if it is badly damaged, the student will be expected to pay the replacement cost of the item or replace the materials with an identical item. Refunds of items paid for at a vlaue of $15.00 or more may be refunded if the student returns the item in satisfactory condition within 30 days of payment. Refunds will not be issued for items less than $15.00.
